During Silent Hill Transmission's streaming event, it was announced. Return to Silent Hill, a new film adaptation of Konami's horror series, along with an interactive series and as many as three new video games (Silent Hill 2 - Remake, Silent Hill f and Silent Hill Townfall).
The announcement was accompanied by a short teaser trailer with the first details on Return to Silent Hill and with analysis by Victor Hadida and Christophe Gans.
Based on Silent Hill 2, the film will be produced by Victor Hadida while Christophe Gans, the director of the first film (2006), will direct. This was revealed by Rui Naito, Konami's spokesman, according to whom it was the film script that rekindled the Japanese company's interest in the series.
Return to Silent Hill is a modern-day retelling of the Orpheus myth and promises a story full of tension and horror as the story will follow the story of James, a desperate man who makes his entrance into Silent Hill in a desperate search for his beloved.
