Protagonist of Hi8: Resurrectio is Steven (Oliver Troska), a film student who, for his thesis, would like to make the goriest film of all time even though he is aware that it would never find distribution in Germany. Standing in the way of his goal are a lack of money and his professor, who is opposed to the horror genre.
A mysterious website will give Steven the right motivation to create his film, but the consequences of his cinematic dream will have ominous outcomes.
The cast includes Oliver Troska, Piet Baltissen, Uwe Choroba, Marc Gruss, Moloch, Carola Schmidt, Joris Schwarz, and Robin Stehr.
The soundtrack is by David Komann.
