Screen Gems and Sony Pictures Entertainment have just released the second trailer for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. The film is the sixth and final installment in the saga inspired by the popular zombie and mutant survival-horror video game.
The story of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter ties in with that of Resident Evil: Retribution and still stars Milla Jovovich as Alice.
Plot: Alice, a survivor of the battle against zombies, returns to Raccoon City, the American city under which the Umbrella Corporation operates the Hive, an underground laboratory where it all began. In this very complex secret facility, the corporation is plotting its final attack.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter è scritto e diretto da Paul W.S. Anderson, autore registico della saga in questione nonché marito dell'attrice Milla Jovovich. Come quest'ultima, nel cast riprendono i loro ruoli anche Ali Larter, Iain Glen e Shawn Roberts i quali interpretano rispettivamente Claire Redfield, il Dr. Isaacs e Albert Wesker.
New names, however, have also been added to the franchise, such as those of Ruby Rose, William Levy, Fraser James, Eoin Macken, and that of Japanese model Rola.
This concluding chapter of the saga will be released in the U.S. on January 27, 2017, thanks to Screen Gems. In Italy, however, it will see the light of day in March 2017, at a date to be determined.
