Yesterday we covered the sneak peek of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (here the news), the concluding chapter of the saga Resident Evil inspired by the survival horror video game series of the same name. In Resident Evil: The Final Chapter the story relates back to the events of Resident Evil: Retribution.
Plot: Alice decides to return to the place where it all began-that is, Raccoon City, the American city under which the Umbrella Corporation operates the Hive, a secret underground laboratory complex. Here the corporation is gathering its forces to launch its final attack.
In the film, written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (Alien vs. Predator, Resident Evil: Afterlife, Resident Evil: Retribution), actress Milla Jovovich plays Alice again. Also reprising their roles will be Ali Larter, Iain Glen and Shawn Roberts who will be Claire Redfield, Dr. Isaacs and Albert Wesker, respectively.
The cast includes names new to the franchise, namely, those of Ruby Rose, William Levy, Eoin Macken, Fraser James, and Japanese model Rola.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will be released next January thanks to Sony Screen Gems.
