Greg Russo revealed that he has completed the first draft of the screenplay of Resident Evil, the reboot produced by James Wan (Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring) and for which a director has not yet been designated.
For Greg Russo, this is not the first experience in the video game field. The screenwriter also worked on the reboot of Mortal Kombat, another project of Wan's.
In un'intervista su Discussing Film, Russo ha rivelato inoltre di essere un grandissimo fan del franchise e di aver lavorato allo script per circa un anno prima che James Wan venisse coinvolto. Ha poi aggiunto che il suo obiettivo è sempre stato quello di renderlo spaventoso e di essersi ispirato al videogioco Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
