With a post on Twitter, Universal Pictures launched the promotional campaign of Renfield with the launch of the film's logo/title accompanied by a very short teaser trailer.
Directed by Cris McKay (Tomorrow's War), Renfield is a modern-day reinterpretation of the eponymous character featured in the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker and will see the light of day in U.S. theaters on April 14, 2023.
The film stars Nicholas Hoult (Warm Bodies, Mad Max: Fury Road) and Nicolas Cage (Mandy, The Color Came from Space) as Renfield and Dracula, respectively.

In the cast of Renfield Adrian Martinez, Ben Schwartz, Ben Rouss and Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) also appear.
The screenplay, on the other hand, is by Ryan Ridley (Rick and Morty) in collaboration with Robert Kirkman, the creator of the TV series The Walking Dead.

Plot: after centuries of subjugation, Renfield (Nicholas Hoult) has grown tired of being Dracula's (Nicolas Cage) lackey. The henchman will find a new lease on life and perhaps even redemption when he falls in love with Rebecca Quincy (Awkwafina), a feisty, perpetually angry policewoman.
