Artsploitation has released a still and the new poster of Red Christmas, the Australian Christmas horror film written and directed by actor and director Craig Anderson. The film's release date, on the other hand, is expected by the end of the summer.
Protagonist of Red Christmas is horror icon Dee Wallace (The Hills Have Eyes, The Howling, Cujo and Critters - The Extraroders), here playing a mother who will try to protect her family from a dangerous intruder.
In Red Christmas, Craig Anderson combines the horror of family reunions with issues of abortion, feminism, ethics, religion and privacy. All concentrated in buried secrets that, once they come to light, will have bloody consequences.
Plot: It is Christmas Eve and Diane (Dee Wallace) has decided to spend it with her family at their country home. Spoiling the festive air, already compromised by minor family drama, is the arrival of a deformed stranger. His presence and the revelation of a secret will turn the evening into a terrifying nightmare for everyone at the banquet.
In the cast: Dee Wallace, Geoff Morrell, Sarah Bishop, Janis McGavin, David Collins, Sam Campbell, Gerard Odwyer, Bjorn Stewart, Anthony Jensen, and Deelia Meriel.
