Filming of Rebel Moon, the new film by Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead, Army of the Dead) produced by Netflix. This was revealed by the director himself in a Twitter post, in which he also attached some images from the set.
Written by Zack Snyder with Shay Hatten (Army of the Dead) and Kurt Johnstag (300), Rebel Moon is a science fiction film starring Sofia Boutella (Climax).
Rounding out the cast are Jena Malone (The Neon Demon), Rupert Friend (The Boy in the Striped Pajamas), Charlie Hunnam (Crimson Peak), Cary Elwes (Saw - The Riddler), Corey Stoll (Number 23), Michiel Huisman (The Invitation), Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Doona Bae (Mr. Vengeance).
As a reminder, Zack Snyder's film projects include the sequel to Army of the Dead.
The story of Rebel Moon sheds light on a peaceful colony at the edge of the galaxy that is threatened by the armies of the tyrant Balisarius. Tasked by the inhabitants of the colony, a young woman recruits warriors from neighboring planets to fight the enemies.
