Real Bodies from October 1 in Milan: pre-sales kick off

real-bodiesFrom October 1, the special edition of Real Bodies. Pre-sales for the macabre Human Body Expo are already open, and to take advantage of the subsidized price of €15.50 just buy tickets by September 5 from the official website RealBodies.
The exhibition on human anatomy will be open in Milan until January 29, 2017.

Real Bodies is the most comprehensive exhibition-event dedicated to human cadavers and organs. It is set up in an exhibition space of more than 2,000 square meters and, on this occasion, is presented in a special edition for Milan: in fact, for the first time, it will host a large number of intact cadavers and organs (40 and 350, respectively), all preserved with the plastination (a process by which the human body can be preserved following the replacement of body fluids with silicone polymers).

In particular, on October 1, there will be among the specimens a plastinated corpse of hermaphrodite preserved with both male and female genitalia. This is a unique piece in the world and worth about 120,000 euros.

Real Bodies is an educational exhibition, suitable for everyone. It displays bodies in various positions to highlight the functions and movements of the human body. There is no shortage in this regard of athletes' bodies in the act of performing sports. This is to highlight the way muscles, tendons and joints work during competitive activity.
Disease-affected or aged bodies and organoids are also added to show the changes human bodies go through.
