The Crow: Bill Skarsgard will play Eric Draven in new graphic novel adaptation

For about a decade, there has been nothing but talk about the new The Crow and, after years of stalling, searching for a director and lead actor, the film's production has been put on hold several times.
Now, after a recent IndieWire interview with Ed Pressman, the producer of the The Raven (1994), the name of the director and the protagonist of The Crow, the new adaptation of the graphic novel "The Raven."

Rupert Sanders, the director of Snow White the hunter and Ghost in the Shell while, playing the role of Eric Draven will be Bill Skarsgård, a Swedish actor known for his role as Pennywise in the films It (2017) and It - Capitolo due (2019) by Andy Muschietti.
The screenplay, on the other hand, is by Zach Baylin.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the project will go into production in June, and filming will take place in Prague and Munich for a budget of about $50 million.

Directors who were announced and later dropped out of the project include: Stephen Norrington (Blade), Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later), F. Javier Gutiérrez (Tres días), and Corin Hardy (The Hallow). In 2018, actor Jason Momoa (Aquaman) was to play Eric Draven in Corin Hardy's own film.

Played by Brandon Lee, The Raven (1994) by Alex Proyas is based on the comic book of the same name by James O'Barr and tells the story of Eric Draven, a musician who returns to the world of the living to avenge his own death and that of his girlfriend.
