They are called Rape's Revenge and are handcrafted creations made by Domiziano Cristopharo, an Italian filmmaker and tattoo artist. I Rape's Revenge are very peculiar Mexican radishes pockmarked by horror and death. Just as in eco-vengeances, this harmless little plant has undergone some surprising mutations and is ready to make a killing of... rotten hearts.
Yes, because these cute little monsters have immediately won over horror buffs and collectors alike. The first set of radishes, whose one-of-a-kind pieces sold for 13 euros each, did indeed sell like hotcakes, but another will be made soon.
The sculptures, without the green stem, measure about 6 cm. They are made with Das and acrylic paints and are delivered to the buyer inside a basket with a guarantee seal.
The painstaking work devoted to these putrescent seedlings certainly does not end here because each one has a name and a story. Below are the radishes from the first series and their original history:
- RAPE'S REVENGE - BARLOW comes from Salem...his bloodlust is endless but his condition saddens him greatly.
- RAPE'S REVENGE - ONE EYED JACK is the one with the most advanced state of mutation; he also lost an eye-but we give it to you separately, don't worry!
- RAPE'S REVENGE - SCALP is also sympathetically renamed "the helicopter radish" because of its resemblance to the zombie of the same name in Romero's film...the woman who was slicing it for salad is said to still be in shock.
- RAPE'S REVENGE - BABY is the youngest...he needs blood to grow, but he is not able to get it himself...because he hasn't teethed yet! We provide you with the bottle already filled...
- RAPE'S REVENGE - HANNIBAL is really biting -- and he has a very persuasive look, so don't be alone with him too long.
- RAPE'S REVENGE - HEMINGWAY The many accidents that occurred in his life to a good extent are consequent to his always wanting to have borderline experiences, such as those of war or other extreme situations in which to "test himself."
- RAPE'S REVENGE - ZEDER is a rascal: the more you put him in the ground, the more he comes out!
