L'attrice Laura Vandervoort, la protagonista del remake di Rabid, ha condiviso una nuova immagine del suo personaggio, Rose. La release USA del film è prevista nel 2019 mentre è già nota quella relativa all'home video UK. Rabid in fact will be available on DVD and Blu-ray starting March 25, 2019.
Rabid is the Canadian remake of the horror film of the same name directed by David Cronenberg in 1977. Directing this remake are sisters Jen and Sylvia Soska (American Mary, See No Evil 2), who also co-wrote the screenplay with John Serge.
The protagonist of the story is Rose (Laura Vandervoort), a young woman who is horribly disfigured after a car accident disfigures her face. In order to regain her lost beauty, the girl will undergo an experimental plastic surgery treatment that will, however, transform her into a bloodthirsty monster, a being that will unleash a devastating pandemic.
In the cast of Rabid feature Laura Vandervoort (Saw: Legacy), Ben Hollingsworth, Hanneke Talbot (Playing Dead), Mackenzie Gray (Legion), CM Punk and A.J. Mendez.
Rabid is produced by Back 40 Pictures and Telefilm Canada in collaboration with Ontario Media Development Corporation and Media Finance Capital.
