After the italian trailer, a new image of Prey (USA - 2022), the fifth installment of the celebrated fantasy-horror franchise about alien hunters started in 1987 by John McTiernan with Predator.
Prey is a prequel and will arrive on the Disney+ streaming platform on August 5.
Produced by Disney and 20th Century Studios, Prey is written by Patrick Aison (Kingdom, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan) while directing is Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane, Black Mirror, The Boys).
At Time Out, Dan Trachtenberg promised that the film will feature the Predator scariest ever. In fact, the director stated, "I wanted this Predator to be the scariest, the creepiest one we've seen so far. He is intelligent and has much more advanced technology than the others, and that makes him invincible... Since there is a time jump back three hundred years, I wanted to make sure that his appearance was different. In fact, this Predator has a head that is more proportionate to his body, he is much thinner and less armored than those in the earlier films...but he is much more ferocious“.
Set on the Great Plains in 1719, the story takes place in the Native American Comanche nation three centuries before the events narrated in the original film starring Arnold Schwrzenegger. The protagonist of the story is Naru (Amber Midthunder), a named warrior called upon to protect her tribe from a highly evolved alien invader.
The cast of Prey consists of Amber Midthunter (Legion), Dakota Beavers, Kyle Strauts (The Predator - 2018), Dane DiLiegro, Stefany Mathias and CJ Collard.
