French supernatural horror Incident in a Ghostland (France, Canada - 2018) by Pascal Laugier (Saint Ange, Martyrs and The Children of Cold Rock) will be presented at Arrow Video FrightFest this August and will enjoy a home video distribution (UK market). In fact, the film will be available on DVD and Blu-ray from September 3 through Arrow Video.
Incident in a Ghostland (aka Ghostland) mixes themes such as entities and madness.
Plot: Colleen (Mylène Farmer) inherits an aunt's house where she moves in with her two daughters Beth (Crystal Reed) and Vera (Anastasia Phillips). The first night spent in the home, however, will prove quite tragic for the family due to the intrusion of some criminals. After that traumatic experience, the shy Beth and the outgoing Vera will never be the same, and as time goes by, their personalities will tend to change considerably, becoming more and more contrasting.
Sixteen years later, Beth is a successful writer and returns to the house where her mother and Vera still live. Unlike her sister, the latter has failed to start a family and has remained anchored in her paranoia and fears. The family reunion, however, will trigger a series of frightening events.
The cast of Incident in a Ghostland includes Mylène Farmer, Crystal Reed (Skyline), Anastasia Phillips, Emilia Jones, Taylor Hickson, Paul Bryant, Adam Hurtig, Alicia Johnston, Mariam Bernstein, Paul Titley, and Ernesto Griffith. The film is produced by Jean-Charles Levy.
