Following The Predator (2018) by Shane Black, the celebrated fantasy-horror franchise about alien hunters (started in 1987 by John McTiernan with Predator) will be enriched with a new chapter. According to reports from Deadline Indeed, Predator 5 is officially in development for Disney and 20th Century Studios. The new chapter in the saga will be a reboot and will have no connection with the previous films.
The Deadline website also reveals the names of the screenwriter and director who will be in charge of this new chapter. They are Patrick Aison (Kingdom, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan) and Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane, Black Mirror, The Boys), respectively. Jon Davis, on the other hand, appears on the crew as a producer.
