Neon has released the new trailer for Possessor, the violent sci-fi film with horror overtones written and directed by Brandon Cronenberg (Antiviral), the son of renowned director David Cronenberg (Brood, Scanners, Videodrome).
The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival (2020) and will be released in the United States on October 9.
In Possessor, Andrea Riseborough is Tasya Vos (Andrea Riseborough), a secret agent working for a secret society that exploits brain implant technology.
Commissioned by wealthy clients, she "occupies" the bodies of others in order to psychologically manipulate them into committing murder. Soon, however, Tasya finds herself trapped in the mind of a man (Christopher Abbott) who will endanger her own identity.
In the cast of Possessor there are Andrea Riseborough (Mandy), Jennifer Jason Leigh (eXistenZ), Christopher Abbott (It Comes At Night), Sean Bean (The Dark), Tuppence Middleton, Kaniehtiio Horn (Mohawk), Rossif Sutherland, and Christopher Jacot.
