Variety has shared the first images of Pinocchio: Unstrung, the new film in the Poohniverse, also revealing that Robert Englund (Nightmare) has joined the cast.
Rhys Frake-Waterfield is directing Pinocchio: Unstrung for Jagged Edge Productions, with makeup FX Todd Masters (Child's Play, Underworld Awakening, Slither) who is creating the Pinocchio doll (made with practical effects).
The film is expected to be released next year and will star Robert Englund and Richard Brake (3 from Hell) as Cricket and Geppetto, respectively.
Cameron Bell, Jessica Balmer, Jack Art Gray e Peter De Souza-Feighoney also star.
With Pinocchio: Unstrung, the directors of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (and its sequel) are expanding their "Poohniverse" with several upcoming films, including Bambi: The Reckoning and Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare.
