I Wonder Pictures has released, online, the official Italian trailer for Piggy, a Spanish horror film about body shaming that will debut in Italian theaters on July 20.
Directed by Carlota Pereda, Piggy earned six Goya nominations in Spain and was screened at several major international festivals including Sundance 2022 and Rome Film Festival 2022 (as a special event at "Alice in the City"), receiving critical acclaim.
The protagonist of the story is Sara (Laura Galán), an overweight teenager bullied by some of her peers. Witnessing yet another abuse is a mysterious man who will take an unexpected turn in her life.
After yet another abuse, Sara will have the unexpected opportunity to take revenge on her tormentors, then choose to go from victim to perpetrator, or let common sense of ethics and morality prevail.
