Digital releases for September 2021 include. Pig (UK - 2021), the revenge thriller written and directed by Michael Sarnoski and starring Oscar winner Nicolas Cage (Joe, Mandy, The Color Came from Space), here as a truffle hunter whose beloved pig is taken away.
After its success with audiences and critics in the U.S. (on Rotten Tomatoes it has a score approaching 100% positive reviews), the film finally arrives in Italy as well. From September 15 in fact, Pig is available for digital purchase on Apple TV, Chili, iTunes, Google Play Film, Youtube, Prime Video, Rakuten TV and Timvision platforms.
The film will also arrive on DVD and Blu-ray on October 20.
The story follows Rob (Nicolas Cage), an Oregon truffle hunter forced to return to Portland and come to terms with his past after the kidnapping of his beloved hunting pig.
In the cast of Pig Also included are Alex Wolff (Hereditary - The Roots of Evil), Adam Arkin, Nina Belforte, Dalene Young, Gretchen Corbett, Julia Bray, Darius Pierce, Elijah Ungvary, Dana Millica, Tom Walton, Butcher Joe and Davis King.
The screenplay was written by Michael Sarnoski in collaboration with Vanessa Block.
Pig is produced by Nicolas Cage together with Pulse Films, BlockBox Entertainment, Valparaiso Pictures and Saturn Pictures.
