After the sad and disturbing The Eyes Of My Mother, Nicolas Pesce writes and directs Piercing, un thriller-horror di cui segnaliamo l'uscita del red band trailer ricco di sesso (pratiche sadomaso) e violenza. Interpretato da Christopher Abbott (It Comes At Night) e Mia Wasikowska (Crimson Peak), Piercing will debut in US theaters and on VOD platforms on February 1, 2019.
As Audition by Takashi Miike, also Piercing è basato sul romanzo "Audition" di Ryū Murakami.
Trama: Reed (Christopher Abbott) è un marito e un padre affettuoso che lascia la famiglia per un breve viaggio di lavoro. Il programma però è ben diverso da quello esposto alla moglie perché l'uomo ha intenzione di prendere una stanza d'albergo e chiamare una escort con cui sfogare i suoi desideri sessuali ma anche il suo istinto omicida torturandola a morte.
