Amy Seimetz (Alien: Covenant, The Killing, Stranger Things) has joined the cast of Pet Sematary, il nuovo adattamento dell’omonimo romanzo horror (1983) di Stephen King. L'attrice (che probabilmente vedremo nei panni di Rachel) affiancherà Jason Clarke (La vedova Winchester), l'attore australiano che in Pet Sematary Will play the main character Louis Creed. John Lithgow (Ai confini della realtà , L’alba del pianeta delle scimmie, Interstellar) invece sarà Jud Crandall, l'anziano vicino di casa dei Creed.
As already revealed a few days ago (link to news story), Pet Sematary will debut in U.S. theaters on April 5. Produced by Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, Steven Schneider and Mark Vahradian, Pet Sematary features Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer, the duo who wrote and directed the possession horror film Starry Eyes (USA, Belgium - 2014). The screenplay of Pet Sematary instead was written by Jeff Buhler and David Kajganich.
Stephen King's celebrated novel already enjoys an extraordinary film adaptation. It is about Living cemetery directed by Mary Lambert in 1989. The director also authored the sequel Living Cemetery 2 (1992).
Plot of Pet Sematary: Louis Creed is a Chicago physician who moves to the small town of Ludlow, Maine, with his wife Rachel and their children Ellie and Cage. Their home, however, is located near an animal cemetery, a place where buried creatures come back to life.
