Personal Shopper is the new film by Olivier Assayas, a French director whose filmography consists mainly of films in the drama genre. Personal Shopper is instead a supernatural horror film whose protagonist is played by Kristen Stewart, an actress known for her role as Bella Swan in the saga Twilight.
Just two days ago, French production company Les Films du Losange revealed the first international trailer for the film. The drama-tinged ghost movie also is an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival and will be distributed in America by IFC Films while it will see the light of day in France on October 19.
Plot: Maureen is a personal shopper for a woman in show business, but she is also a medium. Deeply scarred by the death of her twin brother, she tries to communicate with his spirit by spending nights in the house where he passed away. While she waits for some signal from him, someone harasses her via cell phone.
In addition to Kristen Stewart, the cast includes Anders Danielsen Lie, Lars Eidinger, Nora von Waldstätten, Pamela Betsy Cooper, Sigrid Bouaziz, David Bowles, Ty Olwin, and Benjamin Biolay.
