Two official posters of Peninsula, the sequel to Train to Busan (aka Busanhaeng), the South Korean blockbuster zombie movie in Asia. Directed by Sang-ho Yeo, the director of the first installment, Peninsula is Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival.
The story takes place four years after the terrible events of the previous film focusing on the chaos wreaked by the virus that this time will spread to the entire Korean peninsula.
Plot of Peninsula: Jung-seok (Dong-WonGang) is a former soldier who manages to escape from the Korean peninsula, a place now infested with zombies and turned into a ghetto by other nations trying to stop the spread of the virus. Sent back with a crew on a mission to retrieve something, the man enters the port of Incheon to reach Seoul but is attacked. Here he discovers that there are still many survivors on the peninsula who are not yet infected.
The cast includes Dong-WonGang, Jung-hyun Lee, Kwon Hae-hyo, Kim Min-jae, Lee Ye Won, and Koo Kyo-hwan.
The film will be released in South Korea this summer.
