Well Go USA Entertainment ha rivelato che lo zombie movie sudcoreano Peninsula debutterà nelle sale USA il 21 agosto e non più il 7 agosto come precedentemente annunciato. Il film esordirà negli States con il titolo Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula.
Diretto sempre da Sang-ho Yeo, Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula è il sequel di Train to Busan (aka Busanhaeng), a blockbuster film in Asia.
The story of this new chapter takes place four years after the zombie pandemic dealt with in the previous film, focusing on the havoc wreaked by the virus that this time will spread to the entire Korean peninsula.
Protagonista della storia è Jung-seok (Dong-WonGang), un ex soldato che riesce a fuggire dalla penisola coreana, luogo ormai infestato dai morti viventi e trasformato in ghetto da altre nazioni che che si sono organizzate per bloccare la diffusione del virus. Rimandato con un equipaggio in missione, l’uomo entra nel porto di Incheon per raggiungere Seoul ma viene attaccato. Qui scoprirà che sulla penisola sono presenti ancora molti sopravvissuti non ancora infetti.
In the cast of Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula figurano Dong-WonGang, Kwon Hae-hyo, Kim Min-jae, Jung-hyun Lee, Lee Ye Won e Koo Kyo-hwan.
