Patrick (Gianni Dei) is hit in the head by a bottle thrown out of a car. He ends up in a coma, but his mind, thanks to the bizarre interventions of his father (Sacha Pitoëff) gains great powers and therefore the boy can enact his revenge...
Italian followermake of the Patrick Australian, is one of those films created to ride the wave of an unexpectedly successful film.
An attempt is made to increase the slice of the audience by inserting several soft hard scenes thanks to a very good female cast (Giordano and Russo in primis) and, incredibly, this is what makes the film not so horrible.
Evaluating it as a racy erotic film, Patrick still lives assumes a fair amount of judgment: lewd and morbid, it gives the interested party free boobs and asses in abundance.
Add to that the splatter, such as the "death" of Giordano for example, and you only embellish the final product.
It is too bad that the film also has a "pure" horror component, in the sense that it tries to create (but only in intent) some tension, which actually becomes a hodgepodge of script deficiency and low interpretation.
Much more succinctly, it is ridiculous horror, decent splatter, and good light porn.
Not for everyone, but sympathetic in its own way.
Never mind Patrick's gaze and the "special effects" ...
The blond-haired nurse, when she approaches Patrick's bed with her movements, would surely make Tarantino clap like after the club queen's performance in From dusk to dawn.
A goddess... For her I would be hospitalized repeatedly.
There is also a cut version.
Needless to say, the latter should be avoided like the plague.
