Paramount Pictures recently announced the release date for Passenger, the new horror film by André Øvredal, the Norwegian director known for directing The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, and The Last Voyage of the Demeter.
Starring Jacob Scipio, Lou Llobell, and Melissa Leo, Passenger is a supernatural horror thriller film and will debut in US theaters on May 29, 2026.
The film is produced by Walter Hamada under his 18hz banner, in collaboration with Gary Dauberman (The Conjuring, Annabelle) for Coin Operated, with the screenplay written by T.W. Burgess and Zachary Donohue.
The official plot details have not been revealed, but according to IMDb, the story features a couple living in a van who witness a terrible accident. From that moment on, the two are haunted by a demonic force.
