Release announced for Parasites, the thriller/horror film written and directed by Chad Ferrin, author of several genre titles such as The Ghouls, Someone knocks on the door and The Chair (inserito quest'ultimo, tra i 15 best horror movies of 2016 on DarkVeins). Parasites will be available for VOD (thanks to 108 Media) from January 24.
This is a violent survival horror that pays homage to John Carpenter and his filmography and features three boys and a group of unscrupulous bums.
Plot: Three friends get lost, ending up wandering in their car through the dingy streets of the city. Ambushed and hijacked, the unfortunate group will become the favorite pastime of a gang composed of numerous ruthless homeless derelicts, headed by Wilco (Robert Miano). For the three boys, that terrible night will turn into a desperate struggle for survival.
The cast includes the names Robert Miano, Eddie Kehler, Burt Culver, Wolfie Trausch, Carson Nicely, Rich Lee, Jeffrey Decker, Tim Halpin, Art Roberts, Suzanne Sumner Ferry, and Robert Rhine. They are also joined by Joseph Pilato (actor who played Rhodes in the Day of the Dead of Romero).
Parasites è stato presentato in anteprima mondiale al Fantasia International Film Festival e, successivamente, in numerose manifestazioni cinematografiche come l'HorrorHound, lo Shriekfest, il New York City Horror Film Festival, lo STUFF MX, il Zinema Zombie Fest e tanti altri, ricevendo un buon riscontro dal pubblico e dalla critica.
