After writing and directing the two short films Khodahafez and Hell's Real, very young Texas filmmaker Millie Loredo, class of 1989, directs. Sorrow, her first feature film, the first trailer for which is available today. In addition to directing, Loredo also handled the screenplay and production as with her previous works.
Sorrow (USA - 2014) is an independent horror thriller film along the lines of the revenge movie. Indeed, the film chronicles the brutal heinous acts of Dale (Eric Martinez) and Hersey (Mary Etuk), a pair of ruthless serial killers who have escaped from a mental institution. Mila Sweeney (Vannessa Vasquez), the daughter of one of their victims, will try to find her own mother's killers not caring about the consequences and what she might risk on her own skin. Detective Salinas (Melissa Mars) meanwhile sets out on the trail of the serial killers to turn them over to the law.
The film stars Vannessa Vasquez, Eric Martinez, Mary Etuk, Andrew Sensenig (The Last Exorcism - Deliver Us from Evil), Melissa Mars, Donny Boaz (Agoraphobia), Brenden Whitney, Elle Lamont (Machete Kills, The Devil's Gravestone), Hugo Guel and Evangeline Gabriel Young.
Executive producers are John Benton and Melanie DeMayo, while music is by Giona Ostinelli.
Sorrow is currently in post-production and the release date is still unknown.
