Finally online the first trailer and the official poster of P.O.E. 4 - The Black Cat, the horror anthology consisting of three stories ("House of the Black Cat“, “Black" e "Insomnia") interpreting in three different horror styles (from the 1970s to the present) "The black cat", the famous short story by Edgar Allan Poe.
The directors involved in this project are Chris Milewski (Violets Bloom at an Empty Grave), Domiziano Cristopharo (House of Flesh Mannequins) and Brace Beltempo (The Carpenter's House).
P.O.E. 4 - The Black Cat develops between the 70s/80s style of the Fulcian segment "House of the Black Cat" written and directed by Chris of Milewski, continuing with "Black" (by Domiziano Cristopharo), an episode that harks back to 80s/90s horror cinematography. "Insomnia" (by Brace Beltempo) instead comes across as a modern horror film.
P.O.E. 4 - The Black Cat is an Italian/English production by Domiziano Cristopharo's ENCHANTED ARCHITECT and Tony Newton's VESTRA PICTURES.
The cast also includes Chiara Pavoni (Demonium, Xpiation, Jack The St. Ripper), an undisputed scream queen of indie cinema for more than 20 years, and Stefano Sala, an Italian model who has walked the runway for such designers as Giorgio Armani. They are also joined by Eric Bower, Jeffrey Voice, Karen Widdoss, Cleverson Rodrigues, Giorgio Agri, Selene Frim Feltrin, Giorgia Masciari, Sara Ratti and Nicolas Dupel.
The screenplay of "Black" is by Andrea Cavaletto while that of "Insomnia" is by Alessandro Di Rosa.
The music for the film's titles and trailer was scored by Frederic Mauerhofer, a French composer whose teachers include the likes of Hans Zimmer.
Instead, the individual episodes are set to music by Giombini & Bower, Alexander Cimini, and Brace Beltempo himself.
P.O.E. 4 - The Black Cat is the fourth and final chapter in the saga devoted to the works of the American writer. The titles of the previous anthologies in fact are: P.O.E.: Poetry of Eerie, P.O.E.: Project of Evil and P.O.E. 3: Pieces of Eldritch.
