OTX.LAB is the neural division of OutroNox, dedicated to the research, experimentation, and production of new forms of horror through artificial intelligence.
The project is led by Antony Coia, founder and sole owner of OutroNox, as well as founder and sole administrator of the extreme horror labels TetroVideo and Goredrome Pictures.
Born from the need to overcome the production limits of traditional cinema, OTX.LAB explores new visual and narrative possibilities, pushing into territories that until just a few years ago would have been difficult to reach. Artificial intelligence is not seen as a replacement for cinema, but as a creative tool capable of giving shape to unprecedented visions and imaginative worlds that until now have remained out of reach.
At a time when much of the film industry still views artificial intelligence with skepticism, OTX.LAB positions itself as a pioneering force. It does not simply study the phenomenon, but actively invests in independent proprietary infrastructure, developed entirely in-house and free from external cloud services, which are often at the center of major ethical concerns.
OTX.LAB thus becomes the first studio in the world specializing in extreme horror to acquire and release a horror film created entirely with artificial intelligence as its primary production tool.
The title of the film is currently being kept secret, but it has already been described as an “extreme splatterfest” and a “love letter to the most outrageous Italian horror cinema” of the 1970s and 1980s.
Antony Coia comments on this new direction:
“It was precisely my deep love for horror cinema, which has populated my nightmares since the 1980s, that led me toward this choice, controversial to many. OTX.LAB represents a parallel path: we have always supported and will continue to support traditional cinema.
Starting today, alongside that path, we are also embarking on a new one. I love extreme horror, but it is now impossible to ignore a certain creative stagnation: too often, everything feels derivative, predictable, trapped in formulas that have become exhausted. Over the last twenty years, the genre has continued pushing further into violence, but rarely into imagination. Today, artificial intelligence represents a tool capable of reopening doors that have remained closed for far too long, allowing us to explore visual and narrative territories that traditional horror cinema now struggles to reach.
We are still facing an immature, imperfect technology full of limitations, yet one that is already usable in concrete terms and holds enormous potential. For me, AI must be a creative tool and never a shortcut”.
With OTX.LAB, Antony Coia and OutroNox open a new chapter in extreme and uncompromising horror, because the future of horror will not only be filmed: it will also be generated, shaped, and reinvented.
