The new Italian trailer for Other Mommy is now online. The horror movie is directed by Rob Savage (Host, The Boogeyman) and produced by James Wan for Blumhouse Atomic Monster.
Written by WGA Award winner Nathan Elston, one of the writers behind Succession, the film is based on the New York Times bestselling novel Other Mommy by Josh Malerman (Bird Box) and will hit Italian theaters on October 8 through Universal.
The story centers on Bela (Arabella Olivia Clark), a young girl who forms a bond with a sinister presence lurking inside her home and bearing an unsettling resemblance to her own mother.
Oscar winner Jessica Chastain (It Chapter Two) stars in a dual role as Bela's mother and "Other Mommy", the manifestation of the entity.
The film is produced by James Wan, whose credits include the Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring franchises, and by Blumhouse Atomic Monster, the studio behind the recent horror titles Backrooms and Obsession. Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Rob Savage, Josh Malerman, and Ryan Lewis serve as executive producers.
The cast also includes Jay Duplass (Transparent), Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed (Succession), and Karen Allen (Indiana Jones).
