Orphan: First Kill is the title of the prequel to Orphan (2009), the horror thriller directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and starring Isabelle Fuhrman.
In the new chapter, the latter will reprise the role of Esther, the ambiguous little girl featured in the 2009 film.
Written by David Coggeshall, Orphan: First Kill will be directed by William Brent Bell (Stay Alive, The Boy) for Dark Castle Entertainment and Entertainment One.
The cast of the new project also includes Julia Stiles (The Omen) and Rossif Sutherland (Possessor) while Isabelle Fuhrman also appears in the project as a producer.
The story of the new chapter focuses on Leena Klammer who, after escaping from a psychiatric facility, moves to America pretending to be Esther, the missing daughter of a wealthy couple. The child, however, will have to deal with a very protective mother who is ready to defend her family.
Recall that in Orphan (2009), Vera Farmiga and Peter Sarsgaard played the adoptive parents of the little girl (Isabelle Fuhrman),
