Organized by the Cultural Association Dark Circle (iHORRORdb - DarkVeins), l'Optical Theatre Horror Film Festival reaches its fourth edition this year. The aforementioned international film festival embraces horror but also fantasy, the bizarre and the grotesque, and it is already possible to enter your films by accessing the official website or via FilmFreeway.
In this new edition, among the jurors is reconfirmed Stephen Biro, founder of the Unearthed Films (casa di produzione che si occupa della distribuzione di film estremi) e ideatore della saga "American Guinea Pig".
Currently, the jury also boasts the presence of Antonio Tentori, a well-known Italian writer and screenwriter who in the past was responsible for the screenplays of some of Lucio Fulci's films ("Demonia", "A Cat in the Brain"), Dario Argento ("Dracula 3D"), Bruno Mattei ("The island of the living dead", "Zombies: The Creation"), Sergio Stivaletti ("The three faces of terror") and by Aristide Massaccesi ("Return from the dead - Frankenstein 2000").
Quest'anno l'Optical Fest, in collaboration with the DarkVeins Horror Film Festival and the proloco of Lugo, si svolgerà nella prima settimana di OTTOBRE nelle sale delle PESCHERIE della ROCCA "Estense" di Lugo (Ravenna). Trattasi di locali neogotici del 1800 destinati inizialmente al commercio del pesce e poi restaurati dal comune nel '90 per essere adibiti a spazi espositivi.
L'Optical Theatre Horror Film Festival sees Domiziano Cristopharo as Artistic Director. The director, along with Antony Coia and Barbara Torretti, completes the Fest's roster of selectors.
The Festival is open to Feature Films, Short Films, Trailers, Trash Features and Trash Shorts. All the details in this article but also photos, videos and material from past editions can be found on the official website OpticalFest.com.
