Optical Theatre Festival 2017: official plaques unveiled

We present the official license plates of the The Optical Theatre Horror Film Festival 2017, la rassegna cinematografica internazionale giunta quest'anno alla sua terza edizione. Le targhe premio sono state realizzate a mano dallo scultore italiano Silvano Cristofaro.

The festival is dedicated to horror, fantasy, bizarre and grotesque and you can submit your works (shorts, features, trailers) by the Nov. 15, 2017 via the FilmFreeway platform.
L'evento si svolgerà nel mese di dicembre. La data e il luogo saranno annunciati nelle prossime settimane.

The The Optical Theatre Horror Film Festival is organized by the Dark Circle Cultural Association (iHORRORdb - DarkVeins) and features Domiziano Cristopharo as Artistic Director as well as a selector along with Barbara Torretti and Antony Coia.

The jury enjoys the following names:

  • the historic Italian director Ruggero Deodato (Last cannibal world, Cannibal Holocaust);
  • Stephen Biro (founder of the Unearthed Films);
  • Filmmaker Scott Martin: founder of the distribution houses. Archstone Distribution, LLC and Archstone Pictures, LP;
  • the well-known Italian writer and screenwriter Antonio Tentori (Demonia, A cat in the brain);
  • Chris Savage: the editor of Horror-Movies.ca;
  • Federico Frusciante: owner of the Videodrome video library in Livorno and founder of the production company Videodrome Industries;
  • special effects makeup artist and producer Michael Del Rossa;
  • Gregory Burkart: site editor Blumhouse.com.

The best films of the 2017 edition will be spotlighted by partner sites with news, interviews and reviews. Official partners include: The Internet Horror Movie Database (iHORRORdb), DarkVeins, ScaredToWatch and the Unearthed Films label. New partnerships include Tombstone Distribution, BlumHouse.com and Horror-Movies.ca.
