Opera, the celebrated thriller/horror film directed by Dario Argento in 1987, will arrive on DVD and Blu-ray with CG Entertainment. The two formats, packed with extra content, will be available starting Sept. 7 along with the special collector's edition (limited, numbered and containing the DVD, Blu-ray and a 120-page booklet), which was made possible thanks to the contributions of crowdfunders who supported the Start Up! campaign last March.

Plot of Opera: After arguing with the director, a soprano runs away from the theater and is hit by a car. Betty, a young newcomer, agrees to replace her despite the legend attached to Verdi's Macbeth. Indeed, it seems that the opera brings bad luck to anyone who performs it. The performance is a success but that same night a man immobilizes Betty and forces her to witness a brutal murder. Beyond that, other crimes will follow.
The cast includes Cristina Marsillach, Ian Charleson, Urbano Barberini, William McNamara, Antonella Vitale, Daria Nicolodi, Coralina Cataldi Tassoni, and Barbara Cupisti.
