Opera Mortem: the satanic film rediscovered after 40 years - The sick trailer

Hidden from the world for several decades, it has resurfaced in the light Opera Mortem (UK - 1973), the 62-minute film produced and directed by the mad English painter David Fleas. Filmed over a period of ten years, this satanic horror film, according to theDreadCentral article, had only one screening back in 1973 at Nottingham's Odeon Film Theatre.opera-mortem

The rights of Opera Mortem were only acquired in 2015 by Italian Giovanni Mele through David Fleas' son. Now digitally remastered and restored in 2K, Opera Mortem Is ready to be deployed.

Crude and disturbing images, obscene sexual acts, gore and elegant literary quotes with references to suicide: this is Opera Mortem, a surrealist/dadaist extreme film that interweaves the death visions of a suicidal girl with those of a necrophilic serial killer.
In order to give meaning to the various symbols present, Opera Mortem was brought to the attention of an occultist who called it "a kind of metaphorical transposition of a black magic ritual."
The cast includes Amber Toad and Daniel Flat.
