First images of Mania, the second film directed by the actress (Silent Night, Save Yourself) and Canadian filmmaker Jessica Cameron, author of the award-winning Truth or Dare. As we had mentioned a few days ago (link to the news story here), Mania is part of a road movie trilogy of which the following are part. Desolation by Ryan M. Andrews (SICK: Survive the Night) and Kill the PA by Aaron Lane. The project is being handled by Cameron herself, who incidentally is also the executive producer along with Scott Higgins, the screenwriter of Mania.
Principal photography for the trilogy has been completed and the three films are currently in post production. Mania, Desolation and Kill the PA were filmed together during an RV trip. The destinations reached were California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Ohio, and Alabama, while the locations chosen for filming were houses, abandoned towns, gloomy motels, and of course also the beautiful landscapes in Arizona.
Mania, whose tagline is "A Fucked Up Lesbian Love Story" looks like a sexy and terrifyingly overwhelming horror film, thanks no doubt to the presence in the cast of the stunning scream queen Tristan Risk (American Mary, Fetish Factory, Save Yourself) and the equally magnificent Ellie Church (The Girl Who Played with the Dead). The two actresses will play a lesbian couple on the run after a murder turns their lives upside down.
It was difficult for Jessica Cameron to find two actresses willing to play the hot parts of the script, which also includes many nude scenes. Credit therefore goes to the brave Risk and Church who agreed to play the roles of two very "intimate" women to each other in Mania.
Below are the interesting images of Mania sent to our editorial office.
