In C'era una volta a... Hollywood, the backdrop to the story (which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt) is the brutal murder of the aforementioned actress at the hands of Charles Manson's followers.
Los Angeles, summer of 1969. TV actor Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) has had success through a western series and now wishes to launch himself into the movie business.
