This month's cinema programming includes the horror films The Exorcist - The Believer by David Gordon Green and Saw - X By Kevin Greutert.
The Exorcist - The Believer will arrive in Italian theaters on Oct. 5, while the release date of Saw - X has been set for October 25.

OCTOBER 5: The Exorcist: The Believer
Written by Peter Sattler and Scott Teems, The Exorcist: The Believer (aka The Exorcist: Believer) is based on the novel of the same name by William Peter Blatty and is directed by David Gordon Green (Halloween, Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends).
The Exorcist: The Believer is the first film in the trilogy sequel to the The Exorcist (1973) and will arrive in theaters on October 5 with Universal Pictures.
The story sheds light on two little girls possessed by an evil entity. Desperate for help, the father of one of the two (Leslie Odom Jr.) will seek help from Mrs. Chris MacNeill (Ellen Burstyn), whose daughter Regan was possessed by Pazuzu many years earlier.
The cast includes Raphael Sbarge (The Alien 2, Independence Day, Pearl Harbor), Olivia Marcum, Lidya Jewett (Nightbooks - Tales of Fear), Leslie Odom Jr., Ann Dowd (Hereditary) and Ellen Burstyn. The latter again as Regan's mother, a character she previously played in the film by William Friedkin, a director who died a few days ago at the age of 87.
In the United States, the MPAA awarded the film an R censorship visa (ban on minors for "violence, gruesome images, strong language and sexual references").

OCTOBER 25: Saw X
Produced by Twisted Pictures in collaboration with Lionsgate and directed by Kevin Greutert (Saw VI, Saw 3D - The Final Chapter, Jackals - The Jackal Cult), Saw X (USA - 2023) is a prequel and the story fits between the events of Saw and Saw II.
Saw X (USA - 2023) is the tenth installment of the horror saga Saw conceived by James Wan and Leigh Whannell and features the return of Tobin Bell again as John Kramer/Jigsaw (the franchise's iconic character) and also that of Shawnee Smith again as Amanda Young.
Saw X will arrive in Italian theaters on October 25 with Eagle Pictures.
Plot: John Kramer (Tobin Bell), a now sick and desperate man, decides to travel to Mexico to undergo a risky experimental surgery in hopes of finding a miracle cure for his cancer. However, John will be disappointed when he discovers that the entire operation is a scam on the weak. Precisely because of this, he will try to punish the scammers with new, ingenious and evil traps....
In the cast of Saw X, in addition to the aforementioned actors, there are also Renata Vaca (Midnight Family), Paulette Hernandez (Crown of Tears), Joshua Okamoto (Control-Z) and Octavio Hinojosa (Come Play With Me), Synnøve Macody Lund (Ragnarok), Steven Brand (The Sandman), and Michael Beach (Dahmer).
The film's screenplay, on the other hand, is by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger, the screenwriters of Jigsaw and Spiral.
