Andrea Bianchi, the director of Malabimba and The nights of terror (Zombie Horror), he signed in 1975 the direction of Naked for the killer, a film that blends 1970s thriller and erotic cinema of the same period with nuances from the giallo genre.
Striking about the film is the modus operandi (Argentine-style) of the assassin, whose outfit (helmet and motorcycle suit) will also be taken up for the villain of Nightmare Beach - The Beach of Terror.
Naked for the killer (Italy - 1975) relies precisely on murders (discreetly carried out) and even eroticism (in which there is no shortage of lesbian relationships and perversion) to obfuscate a story devoid of suspense and thus easily prone to lapse into monotony.
Murders and copious gratuitous full nudity (accompanied by as many scenes of amplexes) are thus the basic elements on which the film rests. The series of murders confined to the same setting (narrative cues and setting would later be taken up in Under the dress nothing) or the exaggerated presence of female bodies, however, may, in the long run, tire. Added to these are some trashy moments found in some grotesque dialogues but also in some sequences such as the one in which Franco Diogenes (who plays an impotent man) is in the company of a blow-up doll. Trashy moment nevertheless very sympathetic and which, for better or worse, remains imprinted.
Naked for the killer rises only in the scenes in which the psychopath comes into action and finds reason for interest thanks to the names of the actresses (Edwige Fenech, Femi Benussi, Erna Schurer, Solvi Stubing) but also because of the good photography (Franco Delli Colli).
Definitely worth seeing to savor again an example of cinema of the past. For aficionados only.
A Milanese model dies of cardiac arrest during an induced abortion. Her death triggers the wrath of a psychopath who, dressed as a motorcyclist, begins killing colleagues at the agency where the girl worked. Photographer Carlo (Nino Castelnuevo) and model Magda (Edwige Fenech) begin to be suspicious but it will be some time before the person responsible for the carnage is identified and caught.
