Universal has just shared the official Italian trailer for Nosferatu (2024), the gothic horror film written and directed by Robert Eggers (The VVitch) and featuring Bill Skarsgård (It, It - Chapter Two) as Count Orlok.
Following Werner Herzog's Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979), the film is the second remake of the 1922 vampire film, considered the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau's masterpiece and loosely based on the novel "Dracula" (1897) by Bram Stoker.
Nosferatu will be released in U.S. theaters on Dec. 25 while the Italian date has not yet been announced.
The story of the new Nosferatu sheds light on Ellen Hutter (Lily-Rose Depp), a troubled young woman in 19th-century Germany, and on Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård), the dangerous Transylvanian vampire who, obsessed with her, stalks her.
Willem Dafoe (Streets of Fire, The Shadow of the Vampire, John Wick), Lily-Rose Depp (Tusk, Silent Night), Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road, Renfield), Emma Corrin (Lady Chatterley's Lover), Bill Skarsgård (It, It - Chapter Two) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass, Bullet Train) also star.
