According to reports from Deadline, young Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård (It, It - Chapter Two, The Raven) will be Count Orlok in Nosferatu by Robert Eggers (The VVitch).
The film is a remake of Nosferatu the vampire (aka "Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens"), the masterpiece of German director Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau.

After 7 years since the first announcement, the horror project on the cinematic retelling of the famous 1922 silent film, considered the German director's masterpiece as well as one of the cornerstones of horror and expressionist cinema, finally seems to be underway.

Also confirmed in the cast is Lily-Rose Depp (Tusk, Silent Night) who replaces Anya Taylor Joy due to other work commitments.

We remember you that Nosferatu the vampire boasts the makeover Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979) by Werner Herzog. In contrast, the year 2000 marks The Shadow of the Vampire (by E. Elias Merhige), a fictional tribute to Murnau's masterpiece.
