Official trailer and poster for horror mystery released Nightmare Symphony (Italy - 2019), first co-directed by Domiziano Cristopharo (House of Flesh Mannequins, Doll Syndrome) and Daniele Trani (DOP: "Beyond the Ford" and "Virus: Extreme Contamination").
Starring Frank LaLoggia, an American director known for directing the cult Scarlatti - Lady in White (1988), Nightmare Symphony is a tribute to Lucio Fulci that pays homage to his A cat in the brain (aka Nightmare Concert) using, among others, the collaboration of the screenwriter and composer of the same 1990 film. The screenplay of Nightmare Symphony in fact is by Antonio Tentori (who also appears in the cast) while the main theme is by Fabio Frizzi.
Frank LaLoggia plays himself i.e., a director called in by an unscrupulous producer to complete an old "cursed" film of his. An unemployed former actor (Halil Budakova) will try to get a part in the project but the horrors of the screen will mix with those of a chilling reality.
In the cast of Nightmare Symphony, in addition to Frank LaLoggia, there are three Kosovar actors already seen in Mad Macbeth and Virus: Extreme Contamination: Edi Hasan Lushi, Halil Budakova and Merita Budakova. They are joined by Antonio Tentori himself, Poison Rouge (director of the extreme horror film "American Guinea Pig: Sacrifice"), Pietro Cinieri (director of the short film "The Curse of the Crying Child"), Irene Baruffetti (Mad Macbeth) and, in a double role, Antonella Salvucci (The Torturer, Bloody Sin).
The soundtrack is by Antony Coia (House of Flesh Mannequins, Xpiation). In addition to the main theme by Fabio Frizzi (the original from Fulci's "The Cat in the Brain"), the film also features tracks by Alexander Cimini.
Special effects are by Jacopo Tomassini (The Obsessed).
Nightmare Symphony is a UK (Ulkurzu), Italian (Enchanted Architect) and Kosovo (Hh Kosova) production. Edi Hasan Lushi also appears in the crew as a producer.
Filming took place in Kosovo, Switzerland and Italy.
