The horror mystery Nightmare Symphony (Italy - 2019) will have its world premiere screening at the prestigious Ischia Global Film & Music Fest On July 16 at 11:00 pm.
The projection of Nightmare Symphony Will be preceded by those of:
- Angry Birds 2 - Nemici amici per sempre (USA - 2019): film d'animazione del 2019 diretto da Thurop Van Orman e John Rice. Trattasi del sequel di Angry Birds, based on the video game series of the same name;
- The Goddess Fortune (Italia - 2019), regia di Ferzan Özpetek. Film di genere commedia/drammatico vincitore di due David di Donatello.
With Edoardo Leo, Stefano Accorsi, Jasmine Trinca and Serra Yilmaz.
- Jojo Rabbit (Nuova Zelanda, USA, Germania - 2019): film di genere commedia/drammatico/guerra diretto da Taika Waititi. Jojo Rabbit is the winner of an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award, both for best nonoriginal screenplay.
With Sam Rockwell, Scarlett Johansson, Roman Griffin Davis, Thomasin McKenzie, Taika Waititi, and Rebel Wilson.
Directed by Domiziano Cristopharo (Doll Syndrome) in collaboration with Daniele Trani (DOP: "Beyond the ford"), Nightmare Symphony stars the well-known Frank Laloggia, the director of the cult Scarlatti - Lady in White, qui nel ruolo di se stesso ovvero un regista chiamato da un produttore senza scrupoli per completare un suo vecchio film “maledetto”. Al suo fianco, in un doppio ruolo, c'è la splendida Antonella Salvucci, attrice italiana già vista in The Torturer by Lamberto Bava and in Bloody Sin By Domitian Christopharo.
Nightmare Symphony (here is our review) is a tribute to Lucio Fulci that pays homage to his A cat in the brain (aka Nightmare Concert) using, among others, the collaboration of the screenwriter and composer of the same 1990 film. The screenplay of Nightmare Symphony in fact is by Antonio Tentori while the main theme is by Fabio Frizzi.
The soundtrack, on the other hand, is by Antony Coia (House of Flesh Mannequins, Xpiation).
