1The dream warriors have failed to stop the murderous hand of Freddy who, as in all the previous episodes, has risen to new life by focusing his objectives precisely with those "drams warriors" who dared to challenge him in the previous chapter. These include Kristen (the one who was able to bring her friends into the dream) who, following , transmits her "power" to a maid: Alice.
This handover marks the end for many of Alice's friends, who, however, takes energy from the victims until the decisive confrontation with Freddy, in which he summons strength to defeat the brutal, dreamlike presence of the Kruegerian nightmare.
The direction taken by the series Nightmare in this film is blatant: setting aside the sense of creepiness and darkness, Freddy becomes a likeable rogue with a habit of killing. The film relies on the monster's gimmicks to kill the unfortunate onlookers but do not expect the inventiveness of the previous chapters. Nightmare IV - The Unwakened by Renny Harlin is a barely sufficient chapter.
