According to io9, Disney Publishing has hired U.S. writer Shea Ernshaw (Winterwood) to write a young adult novel set after the events of Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), il cult dark fantasy realizzato in stop-motion. Il film è ideato e prodotto da Tim Burton mentre alla regia c'è Henry Selick (Coraline e la porta magica).
The novel is still untitled and the story will be told from Sally's point of view.
