It has been five years since Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema handled the production and distribution of the reboot of Nightmare directed by Samuel Bayer and in which the role of Freddy Krueger was given to Jackie Earle Haley. Since the film failed to achieve the success it had hoped for, it appears that New Line has opted for a new Nightmare.
Uno degli ostacoli maggiori risiede sicuramente nel trovare un attore che vesta brillantemente il ruolo di Freddy Krueger e che lo renda un personaggio carismatico e indimenticabile come l'iconico Freddy originale interpretato da Robert Englund e a cui moltissimi fan del franchise debuttato nel 1984, sono affezionati. Personaggio che Jackie Earle Haley non ha assolutamente saputo far rivivere nel reboot del 2010 a causa anche di un pessimo ritocco facciale a cui è stato sottoposto.
