On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Night of the Living Dead (Night of the Living Dead), an official sequel has been announced to debut in U.S. theaters in 2019. Dawn of the Dead (1978), Day of the Dead (1985), Land of the Dead (2005), Diary of the Dead - Le cronache dei morti viventi (2007) and Survival of the Dead - L'isola dei sopravvissuti (2009).
The sequel that has been announced will tie in with the 1968 film by continuing its story.
