We share the first images of Night of Doom, the new film by Davide Pesca (Suffering Bible, Grand Guignol Madness), an Italian director and extreme effects artist known in independent film circles for his high splatter and gore films.
Davide Pesca has also participated in some collective films such as the extreme anthology Deep Web XXX (“Feed Me More” segment) and the horror choral A Taste of Phobia (segment “Hemophobia”).
Night of Doom is a feature film that was created as a tribute to Doom Generation (1995) by Gregg Araki, with references to other films such as. RoboCop, Blade Runner, Natural Born Killers, Spun and other cult films of the 80s/90s.
With an 80s atmosphere and featuring a touch of cyberpunk, Night of Doom differs from the director's other films in the richness of the dialogue and also in the genre, which, in this case, is not precisely horror while not neglecting gore and splatter.
The story of Night of Doom takes place on a night in the imminent future where crime, violence and madness, rule the day. It all revolves around a powerful new drug, Doom, which, in addition to being a powerful hallucinogen, is also capable of altering the nervous system of those who take it.
In this crazy and surreal setting, the stories of bizarre characters will intertwine in a mix of sex, drugs and death.
Currently, the film is still in the filming stage due to the Coronavirus emergency.
