The Void (Canada - 2016), the horror film written and directed by Jeremy Gillespie (Inferno of the Dead, Father's Day) and by Steven Kostanski (segment "W is for Wish" in ABCs of Death 2) ha attirato l'attenzione di molti siti web del settore nonché degli horrorofili grazie al suggestivo first teaser trailer evoking not only Lovecraftian but also Carpenterian atmospheres (The Thing). An homage to 1980s horror therefore, accompanied by a stunning and massive dose of special effects.
In addition, a new, intense and disturbing teaser trailer accompanied by the official poster was released a few hours ago. It was then announced that Screen Media Films will handle its distribution (U.S. theaters and VOD) which will take place on April 7, 2017.
Trama: l'ufficiale di polizia Daniel Carter (Aaron Poole) raggiunge l'ospedale subito dopo aver trovato un uomo ricoperto di sangue che camminava in mezzo alla strada. Una volta nella struttura ospedaliera però Daniel si troverà di fronte ad uno spettacolo raccapricciante: quasi tutti i pazienti e il personale stanno subendo una mutazione. Carter condurrà i pochi superstiti in un viaggio infernale, addentrandosi in quella che sembra essere l’unica via di fuga: le viscere dell’ospedale.
